Frequently asked questions
Does cropping reduce quality?
Not visibly. Cropping keeps the original pixels at full resolution. JPG outputs match the quality of the source JPG by default, so the file doesn't grow. Other formats use quality 85, and PNG, GIF and BMP stay lossless. You can change this under Advanced.
Are my photos uploaded when I crop them?
No. Cropping runs entirely in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
How do I crop for Instagram?
Use 4:5 (1080 × 1350 px) for portrait posts, 1:1 for square posts, and 9:16 for Stories and Reels. Use 16:9 for landscape posts.
