Why does my PDF have no text?
Scanned PDFs are photos of pages, so there's no text layer to read. Use OCR to recognize the text in them.
Does it keep the formatting?
Only the text is extracted, not fonts, colours or images. Choose Keep layout to preserve line breaks and spacing, or Markdown to keep headings marked with ##.
