Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The OCR engine runs in your browser, so your images and the text in them never leave your device.
Which languages are supported?
English only for now. Text in other languages may not be recognized accurately yet.
How do I get the most accurate text?
Use a flat, sharp, well-lit photo with the page filling the frame. For scans, 300 DPI gives the best results. Keep Enhance for photos on for shadowy phone shots.
Can it read handwriting?
Not reliably. File Station's OCR is designed for printed and typed text. Handwritten notes usually come out garbled.
